❗️Russian troops seized food supplies dropped by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for residents of Oleshky, according to the Oleshky Military Administration.
Tetiana Hasanenko, head of the Oleshky Military Administration, said Ukrainian forces dropped about 4 tons of food into the city the previous day, marking the largest humanitarian operation of its kind.
According to Hasanenko, Russian forces accuse residents of collaborating with the Ukrainian military and confiscate the food packages.
“They immediately ask — if the products aren’t Russian-made — ‘Where did you get them?’ They claim that if the AFU is dropping food to you, it means you are collaborating with them,” she said.
“At the same time, the occupiers consider this Russian territory and the locals to be Russian citizens who are violating Russian law by cooperating with the AFU,” Hasanenko added.
She also reported that the abduction of civilians continues in the community, with Russian security forces taking away entire families whose whereabouts later remain unknown.
Russia continues to refuse to authorize civilian evacuations despite established mechanisms, while the last delivery of food supplies to the city took place in late May.
Ukraine has raised the issue internationally and called on international organizations to help deliver humanitarian aid.
